HOW IT BEGAN

My mother, who nicknamed me ” the Pixie”, taught me to knit and crochet as a child. I have enjoyed these arts all my life, but the REAL fun began when my mother introduced me to the Fiber Arts Community. Of course, she introduced me as “the Pixie”. No matter how I tried to un-stick it, it stuck. Instead of choosing a brand, I was Branded. 

Down the rabbit hole I went! As I engaged with the community and expanded my knowledge of All Things Fiber, I heard many comments expressing unfulfilled needs:

“I wish I had a comfortable Diz. It hurts to use a button.”

“I love combed top, but wool combs are dangerous and hard to use.”

“I cant carry all this stuff around, and have no room to store it.” And many more…..

These were a Siren Call to a Master Carpenter with passions for woodworking, problem-solving, and helping others achieve success and joy. I began building prototypes and shipping them to artists willing to try them and give honest feedback. Twisted Pixie was born.

All my products, from Dizzes to Spinning Wheels, are handcrafted by me in my home-based workshop and must meet the following standards:
